Hello!
I'm Maanya and I'm an illustrator and graphic designer based in Gurgaon, India.
My work primarily revolves around themes of feminism, social justice, marginilised communities, climate change, self-love and acceptance.
Through my experiences living in India, the UK, and the UAE, I have come to the realisation that all worlds are essentially the same. In order to be heard and seen, one has to be exceptionally loud and persistent. My work is an extension of this belief. The abundant use of bright colours and bold visuals are bound to grab a person's attention, which in turn makes my beliefs and the causes I stand for more visible.
My work challenges people to rethink their beliefs, understand someone else's point of view, and ultimately see how the world could be a much better and safer space for all of us. The power in art and design is to be able to get people to question conventional ways of the world and urge them to create a world where everyone is welcome to be themselves, in every way possible.
Working with like-minded people fuels me to create more art and together I am certain we can create a better, safer, more loving world for all of us.
